UNREQUITED FEELINGS
In whispers of what could've been, I hear your name
A heartbeat echoes, a love so true, yet in vain
My soul yearns for the touch that will never be mine
A longing that remains, forever intertwined
With every breath, I'll hold on to the memories we've made
Though they may bring pain, they're all I have to convey
The depth of my emotions, the love I hold so dear
A heart that beats for you, though you may never hear
In dreams, I see us together, a love so pure and true
But dawn awakens, and reality breaks through
Your heart belongs to another, and mine beats for you alone
A love unshared, a heart that's made to atone
Your smile, a ray of sunshine in my day
A glimpse of happiness, that's gone too fast away
Your laughter, music to my ears
A melody that brings both joy and tears
I'll cherish every moment we shared
Though it may not be enough, it's all I've dared
To hope that someday, you might see
The love I have for you, and feel it too, maybe, but cherish you forever
THE DARK SMOKE
Dark smoke rises high
A somber veil that touches the sky
A symbol of destruction's might
Leaving behind a trail of blight
It chokes the air, it clouds the sight
A harbinger of danger's plight
It speaks of fire's fierce roar
And all that's lost, forever more
The acrid smell, the bitter taste
The fear that grips, the anxious pace
The smoke that swirls, the ashes cold
A reminder of what's been lost, what's grown old
But even in the darkest smoke
There's a glimmer of a distant hope
A chance for renewal, a chance to start
To rise from ashes, a new heart
Through the haze, a light will shine
Guiding us forward, a new path divine
The smoke will clear, the sun will rise
And from the embers, new life will arise

A Student’s Hope is A+ in chains
His Books in hand is the excellent thanks
His future is bright,
Dreams awake in morning light.
His Calendar is set, the journey is clear,
We march with hope into the year.
The release of this academic calendar provides clarity and assurance for students, teachers, and parents.
With defined timelines,
all SHS students are encouraged to make the most of their study periods and prepare adequately for both internal and external examinations.
THE MESSENGER OF AUTHORITY
The shuffles for the sky
Coat froged with must
Walking stick happing in drops open the earth
His bead trails in streams
His breath a damp sigh over fields that bend to hear his stones
Each drop is a memory to the community
An old tale repeated
Falling again and so we do not forget
He mumbles softly most times
He laughs hoarsely,a down poor against the roof
He leaves behind puddles mirrors for children
Reminders for grown men before drifting on
An ancient traveler,
Carring the weight of the sky
The great man of wisdom
May your smiles never fade
May your laughs never cease
The great messenger of our time
I wish i was there to witness your existence
MY INK FEEL JOY
The ink flowed steady page by page
A closing act,the final stage
The walls of SHS know my signs
Now echoed freedom in the skies
Pens fell silent,time stood still
My heart was light, yet strong with will
WASSCE,the mountain i had knows
At last was done, the seed was thin
I thought of nights when sleep was thin
When doubt and pressure pressed within
Yet every fear, each sleepless fight
Had let me here to morning light
My classmates cheered, their voices loud
A family formed a joyful crowd
The journey's weight was hard to bear
But pride was shining everywhere
I walked outside, the sun was near
A future calling, bright and clear
And in that moment,i could tell.
I'd faced the test,i would do it well

THE COMEDIANS FLAME 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
By MICHAEL AGBAH
OBIO SIKA ACID
With laughter as his mighty tool,
He breaks the chains, rewrites the rule.
OBIO SIKA ACID, bold and true,
Turns heavy skies to skies of blue.
The stage may test, the world may doubt,
Yet joy is what he hands about.
Through every joke, through every line,
He proves that light in us can shine.
Not just a clown, but strength disguised,
A dreamer with unshaken eyes.
For in his art, we come to see,
That hope is born in comedy.
So rise, my friend, and never cease,
Your gift is laughter, your crown is peace.
OBIO SIKA ACID, the world will know,
Your star is bright, your flame will grow.
THE HIDDEN FALLEN TEARS
By MICHAEL AGBAH
A broken heart with a broken tears
Doesn't cry the way it was should, no flood or storms
Just silent cracks where feeling once had stood
The sobs don't fall, they shatter slowly
Each tears is sharp,a quiet scream that no one let's begins
You smile like nothing's bleeding
While the wreckage grows below
The world expects a flood of pain a weeping
Open wound but some heart break in quieter ways
In hollow, echoing rooms
And some tears never make it cut
They dry before they fall
Because the soul that spilt in two
They can't always cry at all
Pain takes shape in shadows on the wall
But now scattered, small and stalled
A broken heart with a broken tears
Still learning not to hide.
May the heart find hope
BARCELONA STILL BARCELONA 🔥🔥🔥
Written by MICHAEL AGBAH
Barcelona — Més Que Un Club, A Crown of Glory" GREAT FOOTBALL CLUB
Beneath Montjuïc and Catalan skies, A dream was born that never dies. Blaugrana colors, bold and true, A spirit eternal, forever new.
From Cruyff’s vision, the style began, Football reborn by a master’s hand. Ronaldinho’s joy, Xavi’s command, Iniesta’s touch — pure magic on land.
And then came Messi, a boy so small, Who rose to become the greatest of all. Every dribble, every goal, Etched Barça’s fire, Barça’s soul.
The Camp Nou roared, the world stood still, As legends rose with art and will. Not just a club, but culture and pride, A heartbeat strong, a rising tide.
And trophies came — the story told, Silver, glory, gleaming gold.
"La Liga" crowns, twenty-eight, Spain has bowed to Barça’s fate. "Copa del Rey" — thirty-two won, A king’s collection, second to none.
"Supercopas" lifted, fifteen high, With passion fierce beneath the sky. "Copa Eva Duarte", three in hand, "Copa de la Liga", twice they stand.
Across the seas, on Europe’s stage, Five "Champions League" crowns mark their age. Four "Cup Winners’ Cups" in might, Five "UEFA Super Cups"shine bright.
The "Fairs Cup", three of history’s lore, Two "Latin Cups" and still there’s more. On global stage, the journey’s done — Three ,Club World Cups, already won.
Over a hundred trophies claim, Each one carved into Barça’s name. A cabinet vast, a legacy clear, A century of greatness, year after year.
For Barça is more than the goals we see, It’s Cruyff, it’s Messi, it’s history. It’s pride, it’s passion, it’s more than a game, Forever — més que un club, one name.
THE DAWN STAR 🌟 OF BARCELONA
Written by MICHAEL AGBAH
Lamine Yamal
From Rocafonda’s streets, a boy took flight, Blaugrana colors, his guiding light. At just sixteen, the world stood still, A child with magic, a fearless will.
Each touch is poetry, each run a flame, A future king in Barcelona’s name. Defenders stumble, crowds ignite, Lamine dances, swift as light.
Too young for limits, too bold for fear, The Camp Nou whispers, "A legend is near.” Born of the cantera, shaped by the dream, Part of the Barça eternal stream.
Cruyff built vision, Xavi gave song, Iniesta painted where beauty belongs. Ronaldinho smiled, Messi was divine, Now Lamine writes the next great line.
With every dribble, the story grows, The next great chapter, the whole world knows. Not just a talent, but hope reborn, A new horizon, a rising dawn.
And in his steps, the promise rings clear: "I am not the future — I am the present, and I play without fear."⚡🔥
THE DAY I FELT INVISIBLE
By MICHAEL AGBAH
I was in the room
No voice, no footsteps
Just the low volume of the TV
Talking to no particular
It filled the space like static as if noise could pretend to be company
But there i was
Sitting, breathing and existing
And somehow ,i feel like i don't exist
No one asked how i was copping
No one noticed me
With all the silence i was not noticed
Like the world had gone on without me
Like i had become part of the furniture
Something to walk past,not see
I watch the flickering screen
But it didn't watch back
And in that moment,i realized.
Being invisible doesn't mean people are ignoring you
It means they are not there at all.
RAIN AS A MESSENGER
By Michael Agbah
She comes in silence, soft and slow,
With arms of silver, gifts to bestow.
She touches each stone, each wandering lane,
A mother of comfort, a balm for pain.
Her voice is a hush on the rooftop wide,
A lullaby whispered by nature’s side:
“I am here, I’ve not forgotten you,
My song is eternal, my love is true.”
She weeps, and the earth drinks deep her sorrow,
Greens awakens, new life to borrow.
Her tears fall heavy, like rivers run,
Her hands clap thunder, her warning tone.
And when she passes, her scent remains,
Fresh as spring after gentle rains.
The world is washed, renewed, set free,
held in the arms of her purity.
THE UNFATHOMABLE DEPTH
Written by MICHAEL AGBAH
You are one with dissimilar layers
It doesn't matter how far you were dig
Your end can never be pioneer
You swallow many dissimilar things
Those we love and those we don't
Which name shall we hallow to you
You consume our love one's unknowingly
Tears flow like the stubborn rivers
Things we repudiate because of lifeless
You accept them due your nature
Anytime the youths were called out to dig
You allow them to their desires
Entombed our loves in you
What was our scandal for this?
People becomes discourage are fearful
When ever you were afexesaid
Good fruits grow on you, consumer!!!
Then how come you accept worthless thing
Your nature is intelligible
May the day of my consume be at peace
And may it never be early for me
LOST BUT FOUND TREASURE
Written by MICHAEL AGBAH
We wandered once, on different roads
Words unsaid, heart in silence codes
I never thought l would see you more
The light to my purity feet
Your treasure is like a covered coconut
Because of you, l compromise ooo Lily
Seven rivers and mountains were intertwined
But echoes don't forget their sounds
And roots remember where they are bound
Your name, a whispered in my chest
A longing l had once suppressed
All because of you my treasure
The most excellent nature of beauty
The favorite anecdote of all years stories
Through you, the future is luminous
There you were , like a spring first light
Familiar eyes, but shining bright
Not just a friend come back to me
But something more l didn't see
Am going to be your words and comforter
The most expensive treasure among treasures
With you there's a new sunset
You are the white smoke from it source
Peace you hold till mother call
You laughed, and time rewound it's thread
Old stories danced, new hope were fed
What we once lost, fate softly minded
And a new chapter just descended
Ohh the royal treasure of treasures
TRUSTWORTHY MEN ASSOCIATION
Written by MICHAEL AGBAH
Trustworthy Men Association
They meet beneath the evening’s hush, Where lamplight leans on brick and brush, In coats well-worn, with eyes sincere— The men who vow to persevere.
No oaths are sworn, no secrets kept, Their word is weight, their promise depth. A handshake holds more binding truth Than contracts signed in marbled booths.
They speak in calm, deliberate tones, Of building homes, of setting stones, Of raising sons to know the cost Of trust once earned, and what is lost.
No medals shine upon their chests, No loud applause, no grand bequests. But in their deeds, the quiet grows, A trust the world too rarely knows.
They fix the things that time forgets, And carry burdens with no debts. Each life they touch, they leave more whole, Each vow they keep, they forge in soul.
So if you pass them in the square, Or hear their laughter in the air, Take note of how they stand and speak— For strength like theirs is never weak.
THE ALTRUISTIC COCKCROW
Written by MICHAEL AGBAH
It sang not for praise, nor for pride at dawn
The selfless cockcrow in the universe beyond
Your heart, a vessel filled with joy and light
Spills hope upon the souls still wrapped in night
With every note , a promise softly pressed
Many find values and hope expressed
Your reflection outshine the morning sun
A beacon bright when day just begun
With winds that carries dreams beyond their flight
You hold many who vanished from your sights
Unknowing of the visions you impact
Yet still you crow with unwavering heart
Embracing dawn, you summon everyday
And in your song, new paths are gently laid
Each crow a seed within in the morning sway
And through your call, the word begins to sway.
