From The Black Woman

African beauty
Smooth skin like polished ebony,
Glistening in the sunlight's embrace,
Curves that flow like the Nile's grace,
Full lips that bloom like a rose in place.
I am the beauty of fresh grain

Taut breasts like ripened mangoes high,
Nipples dark as the night's sweet sigh,
Waist that cinches like a python's tie,
Hips that sway like a palm tree's gentle reply.
I am the flesh  of the Agric horizon

Legs that stretch like the savannah's plains,
Feet that dance like the rain's sweet refrains,
Toes that wiggle like a baby's playful games,
Ankles that gleam like the morning's golden flames.
I am the geographical force and culture part

Eyes that shine like the stars in the midnight sky,
Eyelashes that flutter like a butterfly's sigh,
Eyebrows that arch like the hills of the highlands,
Nose that curves like the horn of the rhineland.
I am the light on the way

Hair that flows like the rivers of the delta's might,
Tresses that cascade like the waterfalls' gentle light,
Strands that glisten like the dew on the grass at dawn's first light,
Flecks that shimmer like the sun's rays on the waves' gentle flight.
I am the reverse less color
That the whole world know me
Cos of shadows
