THE SUNSET

THE SUNSET

I set many times before men's days,

I shine on men all days,

But when I set, I darken all ways.

The ways I wish things to be

Are never the way they rather turn to be.

Errors and terrors have brought life to the tough hill,

And have seeped from man, wanting more still.

But I say, if man should not fear the waves at night,

Then that man must run, run, and run from the night.

If there's nothing good today that I have seen, Nothing so good about the mad man who destroys,

And how a man who was a good friend yesterday

Has turned to the man who destroys,

And the fish that was anxious in the sea Is malicious to its aiders,

Then the wise man must run, run, and run so far.

If you want to know who I am, Then you need to look for the dry soil in the sea,

On the land, heads are running for seeking sake, Heed,

but the hands are raining from never-wanted deeds.

And when a rich wise man wants to dodge these curses, Then that man must know how to care for the poor.

Men are dying in the drying moon,

And the cow roars at the panic moo,

And the hearts quake when the lion roars,

Then that man becomes a citizen to death.

"I was risen when I was unknown to the Sunset,

"I am the real set, I am tough to the perilous crocodile,

I am good to my ways as docile, That I always set but unset days.

If I need food, I knock doors, When I am thirsty, I still roar,

I am invisible to men in the sickbed,

And lose them to rest,

Then I am the sunset.
